According to the Telegraph, Real Madrid hopes to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold during the summer transfer window.
By that time, they hope the England international will be available for free transfer.
The report continues: “Real Madrid are ready to abandon a January pursuit of Trent Alexander-Arnold and wait to see if the Liverpool full-back will be available on a free transfer in the summer.”Alexander-Arnold is highly regarded at Santiago Bernabeu, and the club is considering other right-back alternatives after Dani Carvajal sustained a major knee injury in November that will keep him out for the long term. The newspaper clarifies: “There was no shortage of discussion over Martin Zubimendi over the summer before he ultimately turned down Liverpool.”However, reports say that the midfielder is accepting the idea of leaving Real Sociedad in 2025. A summer departure is more plausible than a move next month.
