The Bauchi State Police Command detained a 40-year-old woman and four teenage suspects for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.
The command spokeswoman, who reported this in a statement on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, stated that stolen commodities such as laptops, mobile phones, and palm oil bottles were recovered from the culprits.
“In alignment with its enduring commitment to maintaining public safety, particularly as the yuletide season approaches, the Bauchi State Police Command has put in place a robust strategy against criminal activities across the state,” according to a statement.
“On November 17, 2024, acting on credible intelligence, officers from the Yelwa Divisional Police Headquarters led by the DPO apprehended six people suspected of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and aiding and abetting criminal activity.”
“The arrested persons are Musa Umar (17), Ibrahim Mohammed (17), Bilal Musa (17), Idriss Jibrin (17), and Maryam Salisu (40).
“During investigation, the following stolen items were recovered from the suspects: two laptops, four mobile phones and three chargers, two flashlights, three bottles of palm oil, one headphone set, one power bank and one MP3 player.”
